Well I remember when I was little my best friend Guillermo use to listen to a band called Tokio Hotel. When I was looking for german music I ran across an article talking about a german band and as I kept reading it was the same band my friend would listen to. I remember my favorite song being Monsoon. the link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le_IyYLrUtQ  Although that is an english song I listened to the german version. The link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_Sy5-sOodA I picked up some words such as laufen und kann. It is really nice listening to songs and at least understand some of the words. What I find helpful is looking up the lyrics so I can follow along and see how it is written.
